A Sitaara weave begins at the loom. The pattern is not laid on afterwards — it is built into the cloth as the warp and weft pass across each other, one line at a time, guided by the hand.
That is why the catalogue reads the way it does: a Pure Kora Silk saree handwoven with meena work, a Katan Soft Silk pallu finished with a zari jaal, a Pure Monga Silk body set off by a silver zari jaal. Each of those details is a decision made at the loom, and each takes time that cannot be hurried.
